After Laurie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at UCLA, she branched out on her own, and in 1985, she launched The Wright Resource, an interior design and consulting business. Using her experience and natural talents, she has been instrumental in transforming homes from the ordinary to the extraordinary, preserving and enhancing the character and style of each and every home.

Laurie worked very closely with her client and her hand-selected team to completely remodel and revitalize a 9,000 square-foot home located in Hidden Valley, CA, including the construction of a new addition. The client’s biggest complaint was that the home had a dark, cold feeling, and Laurie knew exactly how to breathe new life into the home. She created an innovative design around the needs and tastes of the client, devised a timeline, and worked out milestones and schedules with contractors. The result was a new living environment that was bright, uplifting, comfortable, and welcoming. The investment the client made in this remodel translated into a significant increase of the home’s value over the project’s cost. (Photos included on Portfolio page.)

A Beverly Hills homeowner hired Laurie to transform his 6,000 square-foot home from dreary to extraordinary. Laurie created a design and developed a working plan to revitalize the flooring, windows, doors, and furnishings according to the needs of the client. The result was a stunning showcase home that increased in value by $1.2 million.
